Default Supermaxx headers on/Dyno tune completed, numbers inside

Me and a buddy installed the Supermaxx's last weekend along with new NGK TR 55's and wires(thanks Gary). Yesterday I took the car to Carolina Auto Masters in Durham, NC and had Jeff Creech dyno tune it. The car was running EXTREMELY rich at first and after a few runs getting that right, changing a few other things, the numbers are...(drum roll please!!!) 329rwhp and 346rwtq. With the mods I have Jeff said it is right where it should be( and right where I thought it should end up). I have a K&N, Supermaxx w/high flow cats and x-pipe and B&B PRT's. I am very satisfied with the out come.
The car is very mild at idle but LOUD as all get out at WOT. The torque is awesome and the car just gets up and go's now.
I want to say thanks to Jeff at CAM
(http://www.carolinaautomasters.com/ )for working me in on his day off, he explained everything he was doing and took his time. LS1 edit and the EFI Live programs are just cool as ever. Jeff knows what he is doing and I HIGHLY recomend him.
See ya!!!
PS...did I say this thing sounds AWESOME!!!!

Terrific #'s!!! I'd say it's even better than I expected when I put my Dynatechs on! I didn't get a chance to have it tuned before more mods. I'm glad you did! Now I've got an idea just what my headers are doing for me. Thanks for the post and Congrats on a job well done!

P.S. I can't help but attaching my Sig. I hope you don't mind, but I've been working on it. BTW, wouldn't my Baby look awesome if she looked more like YOURS?

Way to go Todd. Congrats on the mods and the newfound power. By the way do you have an A4 or MN6? Now watch your gas mileage drop. For some reason this mod results in a much heavier right foot

Outstanding Todd,

I'm looking forward to seeing your car in person in April at the NCM. Congrat's on the Mods and the outcome. Enjoy the ride.

I hear you about the mileage dropping , but honestly, even with the gas prices...I couldn't care less about the mileage. I just love to and feel this thing move. I told my son yesterday, I need to be more careful of the police now. I think the "noise" is going to draw alot of attention.

Nice! They seem like pretty nice numbers, especially the torque. Nice SOTP modification.

Glad you're happy with the results.

Well...I had a few issues with the install, some my fault and some the directions fault. The second time doing it would be half as easy. A couple of the major issues were..... a lift would be a HUGE benefit, go ahead and take off the coil packs, valve covers and loosen the starter, drill holes in the tunnell plate at the front(this will give you somewhere to zip tie the O2 sensor wires in the front) that is probably it. It got quite frustrating for me and my friend during the install but I think we both agree NOW that it wasn't that bad at all if we knew to do the above things I listed. Very happy with the headers.
I have less in these headers with a tune (done by one of the best tuners in the country) for less than some of the other headers themselves cost....and the power I got is in the same ball park as the competition. Just my .02.

Todd,
Glad to hear that the tune worked well, I am still debating whether to get mine tuned now or wait for the next round of mods. I went with the O2 sims since I am running off road pipes, this has stopped the car from throwing codes.

remember each ticket raises your insurance premiums. . . there are hard costs (the mods) AND soft costs (the tickets).

Glad you like your dynatechs. I posted the results of my a few days ago in the tech section. 325rwhp 334rwtq on a 2000 A4 with blackwing, dynatechs with cats, and magnaflows

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1047675

I really like the sound of the new headers, but I personally was dissapointed with the results. I only gained 9rwhp and 17rwtq from my last dyno tune. I was running rich as well at around 11.6. Perhaps a cam is in my future and the headers will pay off more at that point.
