Default Water leaks

Hey guys, I'm currently experiencing water leaks on my 2000 FRC. It's seems to be coming in where the windshield, fender, and door meet. There is a narrow gap here in the design, and it seems to me that water comes in through this gap resting on the upper door hinge. From here the water goes to the crossmember that is attatched to both the upper left and right door hinge. This crossmember is under the dash. Whenever I wash it or if it comes a hard rain, a pool of water is resting on the floormat.
Any ideas or suggestions on a solution to the problem are invited. It looks like a design flaw and didn't know if this might have been a factory recall.
P.S. I had the driver's window adjusted and I'm sure it's not the problem.

updated 4/1/05 That is't the problem. I guess it the windshield or something?????

Default Water Leaks

I'm not sure about your leak, but here is some info about a "leak" I had last summer.

I bought a used 2000 Red Coupe in May. A month later I was caught in a heavy rainstorm. Water leaked onto the passenger's floor. I felt under the dash above the floor and the cross memeber was soaked. The dripping water actually "fried" my computer box. After drying things out, it occured again when I ran the air conditioning all day during a June drive.

My local shop figured out that some small debris that had come through the hood cowling mesh and plugged a drain. (I believe the drain was for the air conditioning condenser) Water was actually inside my fan compartment and was leaking across the cross member and dripping onto the passenger's floor area.

If you are sure your leak is from the door, I'm not much help. However, if the source is still suspect, you might try having the condenser drain checked.

Good luck.

This annoying clogged drain is a recurring problem. I recall several threads, including one with some good pics, about where this drain is located and how to clear it.

Unfortunately, advanced search didn't help.

Can anyone assist these good people in finding the thread with the pics?
