Take the wheel off. Unbolt the two large 21mm hexagonal bolts behind the rotor which attach the caliper to the suspension arm. Pull off the caliper and support it on the suspension arm. Pull the old rotor off. Clean rust and dirt off of the backing plate behind the rotor. Replace with new rotor, clean the bolts, put some red loctite on the bolts, retighten caliper mounting bracket bolts to 125 ft lbs. That is all
Be careful with rear rotors when taking the old ones off. Gently ease them off. Dont pull them off. I did that and popped out one of the springs in my e-brake shoe. You dont want that to happen. overall, it was a fun learning experience though.
the only tools you need are a 21mm socket and a torque wrench. as long as your torque wrench is sufficiently long....18 inches....you can use that to get leverage on the bolts. they are on there tight so be prepared for a fight.
