Default Stock exaust tips

How do you clean/polish the stock exaust tips on a 02 coupe? Mine have some stains and carbon deposits. What type of chemical cleaners etc can you use, I assume that the material is a stainless steel.

Use a light "Polishing Compound" to remove the stains and then wax to protect the surface.

Should be good!

Use Mothers Mag/Aluminum Polish - it works well on my exhaust tips.

Here is how you clean them.
Replace with a mod set, such as Corsa, Borla, etc. The stock pipes do your car no justice. Spend the $, replace them.

I use the new Meguiars NXT All-Metal polish. Works great!

If that fails, I strongly recommend an aftermarket exhaust system of your choice....just don't ask which one is best!

O.K., then I'll ask which one is the quietest.....I don't need loud....I'm an old geezer and I have owned too many loud exaust cars...a 66 SS 396, 57 Chev, 58 348 Tri-power, and a Ford diesel cab over truck. Just want good looks.

If you want quiet - stay with stock. If you want to improve the appearance of the tips, look into aftermarket tips by someone like Corsa.

If you want to upgrade to a quiet rumble, think about a set of used Z06 Titanium.

Prolly next step up from there would be a Corsa Touring.

From there the sky is the limit! My humble $.02 deposited.....
