At the moment my family has all Chevys: 2005 Suburban, 2004 Vette, 2003 Silverado and a 1993 Blazer. Not necessarily going to stay that way for ever, though, as the Blazer driver really wants a BMW.
I tend to fairly loyal to GM and also to the colors red or black, except for a few foreign sport cars....first junker which I don't count was a '36 chevy sedan, then in college a '57 Bel-Air convertible, couple of Covairs including a Monza convertible, later had Chevelles, and several Pontiacs convertibles. Currently have my second C5 and my DD Silverado. Wife's choices (cars & colors) are a different story, but then again its her money.
right now I only have Chevy's besides my vette I also have an '04 Trailblazer. They are one brand that I have never had issues with I say chevy's have made up about 75% of all my vehicles.
I'll list backwards for the last few years. Corvette, Legend, Legend, Corvette. Z28, Z28 SS, Acura 3.2TL, Z28, 99 Cobra, Legend, Accord Coupe, Legend, Legend, Accord V6, Accord V6. I think that is all since 1997. My wife is the stable car owner in our household. I'm an old Chevy hot rodder from the '60's and am just in the last 5 years able to migrate back to that enjoyment. The Corvette is without a doubt THE most enjoyable driving machine as long as quiet is not your prime concern. That is why we also keep a couple Acura Legend's as we have had great luck and enjoyment in 8,000 mile road trips in those. Many many Chebby's in the '60's and '70's.
The Vette is the only American car I've ever owned, mostly Nissans in the past. I just feel Japanese cars have better quality IMO. And besides, as 1NYCGUY stated, nowadays many of the "foreign", at least Japanese, cars are built on American soil anyway. A while back I read in one of the car mags that 75% of Hondas are built in the US, and one of the Big Three (I forget which one) had more than 50% of their cars built overseas. I'll try to find the article.....
