Default "Skipping" wiper blade; help

Just returned from a wet ride among the world of crazy, rainey day drivers. The right side windshield wiper is skipping and noisy from the halfway spot to full wipe position.
Anyone have a solution?? Car is garaged and has 10.5K miles on the clock. The wiper blade is still soft.

It may be soft, but blades will take a "set" after a while. I have found that you can either replace the blade, or when the blade is in the parked position, pick it up and make the rubber part of the blade lean in the opposite direction, and set it back down. Sometimes that helps because the blade will take a "set" in the opposite direction. It has worked for me. Hope this helps.

Put WHITE vinager on a rag and wipe both sides of the blade real good. It has oil on it.

Don't skimp and use your wife's yellow vinager. That's made of apples and it'll make it sticky.

Had the same problem around 11K miles and replaced the wipers (put on Bosch wipers) and the problem went away....I guess I didn't think about asking the forum if there was a way to fix this besides buying new blades. The blades were only $20 at autozone and work great.

Really. Keep rubbing until black gunk stops coming off on your rag. You'll be amazed how much crap is on there.

Tried the whitw viniger and the resetting of the blade. No change. It skips about 4 times from the center to the left side. The left side blade works great.

Any additional ideas??

I've always just replaced them when they do that. They're cheap.

I've always used Anco AeroVantage, and tried Bosch once. But I bought some Rain-X brand for another vehicle recently and they seem to out-perform them all ... they're really quiet and wipe well ... and also seem to be well made. Don't skimp and get the plastic bodied ones.

The clay bar works wonders. And the rainX is also good to have on the windshield. Keep us informed on what finally works for you. And Jackelope's idea is going to happen to mine for sure. It sounds like a good thing to do to keep them working properly.

Be sure to get the ends. That's where they usually catch and it's the hardest place to clean well.
