Paint Restoration Tips Needed.
It's a beautiful day here in Oklahoma, and it's time to spend the weekend detailing my '97 A4 Coupe. The car has seen better days, and is in need of some work on the paint. Being black, it shows every stinkin' scratch in the clearcoat and I think I have reached the point where I have to use something with a little "bite" to polish the scratches out.
This being said, what are your recommendations for products to use that won't damage the paint/clear but will remove the small swirls and scratches? (I tried Meguires "Scratch X" but it needs more than that.)
Also, do you prefer to use a buffer or do it by hand? Tips and pointers are encouraged! Thanks in advance!

and ask him about the process that he used. That baby looks like a black MIRROR!!
Most of all, HAVE FUN! Personally, I have to go as it's time to go take off a coat of Zaino Z2 car polish that I've had drying...
sad, I know!) and I think I found some helpful things. I'll post over there with more questions about how to fix my paint. Regards.Mark
