Hey guys, I'm looking to paint my homelink plastic piece in the mirror that I'm buying (it's currently black) and I need to know where to get interior paint from. It is simply matching the best you can with spray paint at Lowes (it's a small piece) or do they sell color matched interior paint?
The color I need is neutral (it's the darker color in the shale interior). Thanks!
Sinc it is plastic, don't use paint from Lowes or Home Depot or ??????
Use vinyl dye. You can get it at most automotive stores (Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Checker, Kragen). It is much thinner than paint so do very light coats. It holds up much better on plastic than paint or the Krylon Fusion (sucks). They probably carry the standard colors (black, tan grey) but you can find it on the net in almost any color. There are several brands, Duplicolor works well, if you can find it "SEM" (usually in auto upholstery shops) is great.
