Default Question about leather vendors...

I am going to be buying both leather boots for my car. Redline has them for 60 for both. vette essentials has them both for 110. Is vette essentials that much better or no? Anyone have both or has seen both? Either one better than the other? thanks for your help!

I can say that VE color match is right on with GM leather...if your going with color on your boots....

I've got an all black interior and I'm going for a white set of boots so matching isn't a big deal to me. Thanks for the info tho. You guys are a great help!

No experience with either vendor, but when I get ready to upgrade my leather, I'm going with VE. I've yet to see a post since I've been on the forum concerning the quality of their product or questions about their service (pre & post sale.) Redline products look nice....but for me, I'm going to go with the proven....just my .02 cents. Good Luck

I've used both Redline and VE and prefer VE....I pulled my redline shift boot out and replaced with the VE shift boot and shift **** (automatic).

The VE leather is a slightly higher grade (IMHO) but more expensive.

I debated this one too. I finally settled on VE. I will post pics after I get the boots.

I have the redline goods ebrake and auto shift boot. It is a great improvement over that stock vinyl junk. Does it feel like butter....hell no. But it was only $54 shipped. A price that cannot be beaten. I was not willing to spend over 100 bucks on the VE stuff. However, if you want the absolute best quality, vette essentials is the way to go. However, you are going to pay for it. Here is a pic of my redline stuff.
By the way, if you go with redline dont forget to get the latest discount code to get 10% off

If you are after a PERFECT color match to the GM color pallet - i.e. the yellow in the VE products is an exact match to the MY, then there is no choice. The quality of the workmanship is top notch. The quality of the leather is significantly higher than what you'd buy Mid-America, and not even in the same ballpark as the GM O.E.M.

I can't speak for Redline, but from what I've seen it's nice stuff.

I don't know - not to flame anyone, but if I'm driving what was at one time a $50K sportscar, I'm not going to look for the cheapest solution. I want the best, that's why I ordered Vette Essentials.

Here's a couple of pics of my Redline console and shifter boot. The E-Brake boot and covers should be here soon.

What do you use to make that car so shiny inside?

Champagne taste costs champagne dollars. This is what the jeweler told me when I chose my wife's engagement ring 15 years ago. That jeweler was correct, and it applies here as well.
