Has anyone every had an e-brake (rear assembly (one)) replaced? I have a slight squeak when I drive my car and I disassembled everything to find that the e-brak shifts when driven (springs seem to have no tension) and rubs just enough on the inside of the rotor to cause a squeak.
Anyone ever had one of these replaced?
No performance lost, just an anooying squeak...at least I think it is.
Back in port? You might try the auto adjustment on the ebrake first. You need to back up at around 3 to 5 mph and pull up on the ebrake hard. Do that 5 or so times and see if it helps. Did you have your car parked with the ebrake engaged during your deployment? Here is a link to a tech tip on the procedure. The auto adjustment is down towards the bottom. The first part is the manual adjustment using the star.
I have the same annoying problem. Just haven't got around to fixing it yet. But they told me the part is back ordered and that I would be put on a waiting list
