Where do you store CDs?

Anybody got a good solution?
I put mine in one of those visor things on the passenger side. That takes care of the favorites, then I've got one of those 100 CD cases that I keep in the back.
I think the best solution is probably an I-pod, but I haven't tried that yet.

iPod. I have got every cd I have ever owned and copied many of my friends onto the iPod and I haven't even reached the half-way point. I can store 10,000 songs on it. Clips to the visor nicely or rests in the cup holder.
So worth the purchase.

Drop about 250.00 and pickup an ipod with an FM transmitter. That what i've been using for a year and a half. Maxed my capacity out already. 10,000 songs all fit right into my pocket! What are cd's anyways? hehehe j/k

Mine start out on the passenger seat & end up on the floor when I slam on the brakes. I know we're all into C4 bashing but my 92 had a nice deep console and a cup holder that would actually hold cups. So much for progress.
By the way, what's under that console & can you just cut the bottom out? That would be a practical mod!

Still adjusting to a C5 after 7+ years in a C4

or coming soon
iCruze

RFHayes hooked me up with the ipod2car
thank you (he's not selling them but he had an extra one at the time, otherwise id be oblivious to the them and still waiting for the iCruze)You just need it, and that black cable in the pic
(10$ cable from logjamelectronics)
http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pacabgm10.html
(pay NO ATTENTION to the picture of what 'that cable is' at the logjam web site, that picture (pacabgm10) is so scary looking it nearly put me off!)
edit: these notes are for C5 -- check ipod2car first and logjam for the corresponding black cable for your C6 - but conceptually it should be equally implementable... iCruze is out now and might have a native connector for a new model c6....
- if you have the cd_changer in the hatch (or even if you just have the pre-wired cd-changer cable put there, and unconnected by the factory then you are good to go) if you dont have the cd_changer or the cable pre-wired, you'd (i think) just need to get a similar but slightly different cable to connect the ipod2car to the delco-head unit up the front
this black cable ....
why have it? Well its basically a gender changer -so the original cd_changer cable that is currently can connect to it and thru it - the ipod2car
Its supposedly a Y cable : it has two 'outlet sockets' once you insert the cd-changer cable into it - however once plugged, only one of the subsequent outlets (on the Y split theme) has pins in it
doesnt matter you can easily unplug and the stock cd-changer cable is as it was .. or you , if you had a cd_changer installed, unplug it from the black cable and return it to the bottom of the ch_changer

to make a long story long (and since its for the author of this thread, i hope this hasnt been seen as a hijack... if so, i apologise... i guess the ipod2car itself could merely have had a compatable socket, to allow you to take the pre-wired cd_changer cable and connect it directly but this its compatable with more vehicles (the black cable then is the bit that becomes automobile company/model and year specific)
nothing short of awesome - once i realised some of the pins in that little black lead werent properly pushed forward and some of the contacts then werent seating properly works great:- the ipod has a better, more functional equaliser in it than the basic 3 option delco unit
and i love having my music collection entirely in the palm of my hand

the head unit lets you goto the next track or seek in a song, or switch ''cd's'' (playlists)
the method you need to adopt is to create 6 or 12 playlists depending on the cd_changer that you 'did have' and the head unit selects a playlist as if its a cd in the stacker...
output is terrific and while you can control it a bit via the head unit, i treat the mini-ipod thats on the long cable as if it were it just a simple remote
the iCruze had an extra big read out that you can mount otherwise prob the same...

FreeStyler

Nothing like having ALL your tunes on a very handy portable device such as Ipod.
