what brand of polish and wax are you using? I normally used meguirs on my vert. I am worried about a buildup around the decals.the z06 is a nice weather car only, and I dont take to work to sit outside all day.
I plan on trying to keep it as mint as I can. I keep a soft cotton dust cover on it in the garage.
what has worked for you? zanio , nxt , mothers ,etc.

Zaino has the "rep", but I use NXT. My #1394 is a daily driver (10,000 miles) and I live on a dirt road, so Zaino seemed overkill to me. I haven't seen any "buildup" the way I wax it. What I have noticed is I have VERY hard well-water, and need to use their "Quik Detailer Mist and Spray" to get the water spots off if I wash it at home.
And, if you haven't already, go to our "home site" linked above and register.
You're part of the family, you know.

Wax? Only 1300 miles, and stored till May. Will be Pro detailed for minor flaws from shipping.
I'm getting ready to join "the family". I have identified a Z16 and hopefully it will be in my garage before the month is out. As for me, I will try Zaino; it worked great on my Mag Red coupe and should make that Lemans Blue sparkle!!
Thanks for all the reply's. I should have asked for some pics. I have only seen 1 car in person with zaino , but the owner had it done by a detailer. Some of you have stated it is easy as pie , and some guys have said it is alot of work. I still cant make up my mind
Maybe this will help you decide??? I used to use Maguires on my other cars and thought I would never have a reason to switch to anything else. Then when I bought my Vette I wanted to get the best wax I could for it.
I had never tried or even heard of Zaino but after seeing all the praise about it here in the forum I figured I couldn't go wrong.
The first time I used the zaino was at night in a poorly lit garage and 58-degree temp (not the best conditions). I could barely tell if I had covered all areas when I was putting it on. Then when I buffed it off, I was amazed at how easy it was to remove and that even around the edge of the decals you could hardly see any traces of wax left over.
The end result was a beautiful shine in less than ideal conditions with minimal effort, and that was only the first coat.
From here on out it's Zaino for me.
Rejex. I was a faithful Zaino guy, but try Rejex. Do it.
is this product a one step process to put on? Did you find it eaiser? and was the shine as good or better? thanks for all replys so far guys. also it would be great if you can post a pic of your car and the product used.
