Question on side marker install...
Is there any reason why you can't lift the rear, remove the wheels, and take out the fender well liner to get at the side markers? Looks like it would be much easier than going through the tail lights...

You can do that. In fact, if you have the power antenna you pretty much have to do it that way to change the passenger side becasue you can't get to it through the tail light. Either way that you do it, it is still a PITA.

Yes, you can do it that way. I need to replace one of the markers on mine (one of the posts broke off) and that's the way I plan to attack it.

Not sure why you would go to all that trouble to avoid removing two torx screws on the outboard tailight, removing the taillight and reaching through the resulting hole....Maybe I am missing something.
I just put a new passenger side rear marker light housing in a Z06 yesterday. It took me all of 10 minutes.

It is much easier on a Z06 than a vert with a power antenna. I replaced mine & I just unbolted the antenna and pushed it to the side. It was a big PITA. In hind sight, it would have been easier to remove the wheel & well. Good luck.

I went through the outboard tail lights to change mine from red to amber. It's pretty easy.
I think it took fifteen minutes or so...hard to remember. I took a nap in the middle of the job.

OK, thanks everyone. Well, I got the one on the driver's side out thru the tail light, but the passenger side, with the power antenna, is just kicking my tail. So I'm gonna go thru the wheel well.
