Disconnected battery now keyless entry remote does not work?
Last night I disconnected my battery on my 99 Corvette and now the keyless entry remote does not work? Is this coincidence or did my battery in the remote die?

My 98 did the same thing when I unhooked the battery. You have to reprogram it. Try holding the loc+unlock down for about 10 seconds. The horn should honk. If it doesn't, go through the reprogram on you DIC.

Just retrain the fobs and see if that gets them to working again. Should be all it takes.

Your's is a different problem. You didn't say, but your profile says you have a 98. That has a passive remote system, so at least one of your fobs must be close enough to the car to activate the lock and security system. Try turning off the slide switch on all fobs you have and see if it still happens. Your best bet for help is to start a new thread, STATE the YEAR of your car and describe the problem.

Had the same issue when I changed the remote battery a couple of weeks ago. After two or three normal lock/unlock sesssions, it stopped and stated functioning normally. I did cycle the passive/on/off a couple of times as well just to see if that would help. I really think after a day or so, it will be fine. Zuti
