Default EBAY car cover WARNING

Hello all, just a friendly warning for those of you looking for a car cover on eBay. I recently bought a cover from "rockymountainwheel" off of eBay that don't even come close to fitting. It's really not a problem being that they promised they would refund my money. But they also said that they've sold 2000 of these and I was the only one that ever complained ... thought I find that really hard to believe! Am I wrong in complaining? I know that these are cheap covers that I wouldn't expect to use for anything but a dust cover, but it should at least fit. Hell I bought a cheaper one for my past C4 that fit like a glove with mirror pockets and all. This thing is totally worthless to me! Have any of you actually accepted one of these? I swear, it's like a bad joke somebody is pulling.
So just be advised.
Good day,
Richard

p.s. I any of you have bought a decent low cost dust cover off of eBay, please advise me of the seller.
Thanks

Most of the covers that I have seen on Evil Bay are generic in size. They come in Compact, Mid Size, and large. Looks as if you needed a size larger.

But for a Vette, get a fitted cover, much..much nicer to work with.

Default Car Covers

The expression "you get want you pay for" or "buyer beware" is the normal transaction Ebay. Besides my "98" Coupe my wife has 2005 tBird and I thought about this same cover as a dust cover for the bird. This was a mistake becasue the cover was seconds quality. The same material cover was 10.00 less at WalMart but had no defects and no shipping charges.

Actually I did send them the picture with my request for refund. See e-mail response below:

My complaint: Well I received my car cover today. I have to say that this is the lousiest car cover I've ever seen in my life. I swear, this is like a bad joke. I can't believe your trying to get away with selling these to the public! It doesn't even come close to fitting! No mirror pockets or anything. Plus it only comes down to cover 3/4 of the body (as pictured). I didn't realize you were selling a "one size fits all" cover. You really need to be more descriptive in your ads. The bottom line is that this cover is absolutely worthless! I want an immediate full refund of my money! Please send a UPS call tag to have this trash picked up. I'll try to locate the folks I bought the fitted C4 cover from ... it even cost less. I bought this from you in good faith and made IMMEDIATE payment to you. I expect the same in return.
Please advise a.s.a.p.
Richard Todd

Their response: Hello,
I am sorry to hear this we have over 2000 of these and everyone has seemed quite please. However because you are not we would like to refund you and you may keep the product. Hopefully you will find some use for it.

Thank you.

I hear ya Tom! I had specifically asked if it was fitted for a C5 ... they assured me it was. They just didn't mention that it was equally fitted for a small pick-up truck, VW Bus, Horse Trailer, etc. Funny thing is that this morning when it arrived I was pissed! But now every time I see that picture, I just loose it
Oh Man, did I get duped

Just lower your car 6" and it should fit fine. Seriously, the fact that they are telling you to keep the cover and are willing to refund your money says alot about the quality. Hope they follow thru with the refund!

Good luck with the refund. Stating that you can have a refund and keep the product tells you something about them - even they don't want it back.

You get what you pay for when it comes to stuff for Vettes.

I've never cared for E-bay, don't shop there and won't ever consider shopping there. Just a giant scam cesspool of chit.

Just received my new "Noah" from Zip ($124.95 ,Forum sponsor) ... beautiful, soft cover! Won't be the least bit timid to cover up my car. Can't say that about my old cover.

depending on what you paid for it, it ain't all that bad. I got a 30.00 one from ecklers for the garage that goes down about another 8" farther than yours does but it looks the same. If you are unhappy, and it does not cost you to much, send it back!
