I've been following this forum for a few days now. Everyone seems pretty pleasant.....unlike some I've joined in the past w/ some of my other vehicles. I've learned a lot already about vette's thanks to you guys. Long to short. I just got an '01 after thinking about it for around 3 days. Always wanted one, did some quick research, decided that it had to be black or silver and chromes were a must. Found it. Bought it. Love it. I will have some questions in the near future. Bear with me if they are repetitive or if I sound like an idiot. I'm a fast learner. Towit: 2 weeks ago, I had no clue what C5 meant.

Welcome to the club, er, the forum!
Don't worry about not knowing too much...everybody here was a newbie at one time or another and knew very little. Some of us have been around for a little while and still know very little...
Sweet car! I must warn you...do not stay on the forum for hours reading everything here. If you do, you will find all sorts of cool information and you will want to start pulling your Vette apart and allow the mods to begin. j/k Welcome to the insanity of owning a Corvette. Nice color selection (of course I am partial to Quicksilver Vettes)! In no time, you will know what all the little quirks mean, like CLB...which is the first thing you should do. Column Lock Bypass...gets rid of that headache! Most vendors sell them for around $50. After that, the sky is the limit!!!!!
Welcome!!
As short as this little adventure has been so far, I just put on, not an hour ago, the SS exhaust plate and changed the center caps and lug nut covers to nice new shiny chrome. Lookin goooood. Yes, I have the fever!

First of all
Secondly for joining the forum. Even though you're a newbie, so what!!!! Like the man said, we're all newbies at one point.
Take me for instance. I went two full years of keeping my ride stock. Ever since I joined the forum last month, I've already order a few things and now currently holding a sign on the side of the road the says "Will work for Mods"
You could not have found a better place than this forum to learn about your newly aquired vette, and the in's & out's, and the do's & dont's.
Forgot the pic. This is sitting at the dealer's lot.
Good job, you already learned pics are required. Beautiful color choice, but prepare those credit cards - mod fever will strike. I think you could start with SS inserts...
