Default New tune

Bought 14, tr-55's had about 5 left from the 98SS.
decide to index the new tr-55's.
Needed every plug to get it perfect. 2 1/2 hrs,
Every plug has it's open, part of the electrode straight up
And gapped at .060.
Woo hoo Is she running better, Plus 4's are in the trash.
Starts, Just tap the key. Man that was time well spent.

It's definitely one the best mods for free.
Your intake gas mixture could be shrouded (blocked) by your plug electrode
from the spark. ON some cylinders.
Say your plugs final resting place.(where it stopped when fully tight) is straight down.(elctrode facing down) That plug is shrouding, or has blocked it's own
spark, from the fuel. Since your intake valve is above your plug hole on the ls-1,lt-1,ls-6, That is where your intake mixture, is going to be.
Plus when all the plugs are pointed the same direction. Everything is uniform in all 8 cylinder's
Esp since both heads (sides) are the same.
This 100 percent true and has been verified by the Guros
as 1 -1 1/2 horse per cly.
Your power will increase.
you will start easier.
you will increase mileage
I personallly think it's worth least a car in the quarter mile.

I know the 02 Zo-6 of mine loved it.
Remove wires and plugs.
Mark your plug socket, or extenstion. Matching the mark to the electrode. When u insert the plug in the socket.
This is so U Know where that electrode is in the clyinder.
when tight.
Work on cool heads, Hand tighten plugs Snug only.
Plugs are not to be overtightened
Tight is 1/16 or so. past finger tight.
Check a plug finger tight. figure where it is going to be stopped when tight.
by Adding the 1-16.
Not pointed up. Try a different plug. Usally takes 1-4 try's.
Got that one where u want it. Gap and install.
Repeat 7 more times .
Grease your plug boots. With die-electric grease.
Use Msd's or Jacob's, Taylor. A good wire for best result.

buy 14-16 plugs Your using 8 Take the rest back when done or save.
Your Car will run better or your money back.

Last year at the Brickyard 400 at Indy I had pit passes. I over heard a conversation in the garage area about this very topic and didn't know what they were talking about. Makes sense know.

Thanks for the info.
