[Z06] Black Caulk on paint

Black Caulk on paint
I have some black caulk on the passenger side roof by the top plastic molding. What's a safe way to remove this? I think this is from the installation of the plastic molding.

WD40 on a soft rag,let sit a minute to cut into it.Wipe it off wash the area and wax it up.

I wonder if the same GM worker made our Z'S. Had the same problem.

mine also. 30 years from now the restorers will have a heck of a time getting that slopped on look just right.
