Took my Vette into the local Chevy Dealership this morning. I needed to retain my tire pressure sensors, I swopped out my OEM wheels and got new TPS's last week. Now I know I could have done this all by myself, but I figured what the heck..you know us Army guys just make too much money and I just couldn't pull that giant magnet out of my back pocket..hehe.
While I was waiting, I stopped by the parts department to check on the price for the GM ceramic pads. It was almost time to replace the pads anyway. The dude quoted me some rediculas price, (I knew I could get them for about $100 and some change). I told the guy I wasn't interested. The parts manager happened to walk by at the same time. He offered to match the best price and gave me a 10% discount just because I was a great guy . I just couldn't pass up $90 ceramic brake pads. I went ahead a let them install the pads for me. In the mean time, "Mr Goodwrench" just couldn't figure out how to reprogram my TPS's. Well, with a little encouragement and some coaching from your's truly we finally got them to work.
The service manager felt bad because they got some brake dust on my car so they washed and waxed it for me. Wow, a ten min. tire pressure job ended up taking up three hours of my life. Yup, got a great deal on some brake pads, a free car wash and the "Crazies" didn't even charge me for the TPS retraining. Must of been my lucky day..I'm going out to buy some Lotto tickets. Air Assault!!
Its always great to hear a good Dealership story......thanks...I get the same service at my Dealership. If it was me I would buy them a case of good beer for the excellent service.

Good dealer story. I was doing ok with it until you mentioned wash and wax. After seeing the job they did on my car when I first bought it, I am the only one that has washed and waxed it since. Those High School kids just don't have the touch.

yea, I know what you mean, I usually wash my own...but they did ok. I know I have to give it a good wax on, wax off anyway.
Not sit reatrd, it was joke, lighten up "numb nuts"
Hey man, I'm not trying to get under your skin. I hear alot of Dealership bashing on this forum and I just wanted to post 1 good dealership thread. We can go on insulting each other if you want. I do apologize if I offended you but it just seems like you really wasn't getting it. Maybe I shouldn't have called you numb nut. I know I'm a very out spoken kind of guy, years of Army training. Once again, I apologize for calling you names. At least we have something in common, we are both true Vette people. Take care, man.
