When I bought my '99 Coupe about 5 months ago, it had the same problem. I'm not sure what caused this. I took it into the dealer and the replaced the passenger window regulator/motor assembly the bill was $575.90, But it has been working like a dream ever since.

Regulator part #1 10344132

Best of Luck

This has happened to my '99 several times. I took it to the dealer when it was under warranty and they replaced the regulator. But it ended up happening again. Now I just shut the door a little harder than normal after pushing the auto down button. This usually free's it up.

I have heard that the window regulator gets stuck due to infrequent use. So now I try to make sure I cycle the passenger window whenever I get in now to keep it freed up. In the past, the passenger window did not get used as often as the driver's window since I am usually the only one driving it. I haven't had the problem since I started this practice.
