Which Shifter Do You Have?
After tons of threads of searching I decided that I would make a poll of shifters. Please list
1. Which shifter do you like the most
2. Any complaints with the shifter you have
3. Which ones have you tried that you didnt like.

I've had Hurst's in both my C5's. Why? Because I grew up with the name and all it represents and I made sure I attended as many big local Corvette Car Show's as I could and asked owners what they were driving and if I may test it out. That's how I made my decision on shifters and exhausts. I didn't want to buy something based on 5 or 6 posts on some electronic bulletin board.
I'm a hands in kind of guy, I needed test drives.

I don't have the luxury of being able to try before I buy in the UK but the choice of BPP has exceeded expectations and shown up the stock shifter for the ineptitude it possesses.

I had the Kirban in my 2000 Hardtop for a couple of years and I never heard a rattle or missed a gear. Very happy with Kirban!

Stock shifter here.
Tried a Ripper, a Kirban and a Hurst on friends' Z06s and didn't like the feel. So I stayed stock and have had no tranny issues on either of my Z06s.

Does the C6 shifter assembly fit into a C5? If so, where are you getting them?

Yep, fits perfectly. You just replace the entire shift assembly. Here's a link to a question I asked. Inside you will find the dealers name who sells the entire assembly as a kit including ****. Also, you will find a very well written article by patches on the C6 assembly.
