Default Fuel injector Cleaner/ additives??

What fuel injector cleaner/ additives do you use?- are there any to particularly stay away from. Last trip to the dealer they wanted to use their product (which I didn't ask the name of) for 45$

Thanks

Two good ones are Redline This comes in a marked bottle so you can add enough for 10 gallons at a time for constant use. or two bottles per tank if your having trouble. The other good one is Techron. Most cleaners are solvents and are hard on the coils inside the injectors redline & Techron are detergents and will not harm the coils.

My brother worked for a company that makes fuel injectors and they recomend Techron. Don't just use Injector cleaner with Techron, but get Pure Techron fuel treatment. It's more expensive but worth it.

I always heard that these products would harm your engine? Any truth to this? If not, how often should you use it?

I use a can of Techtron just before an oil change, that's all you should have to do......

Go to Pep Boys and buy some of their 05 calendars if they have any left. They cost $1. Pull the coupons out of the middle and chuck the calendar. You can get Mobil 1 Synthetic (buy 3 get 3 free) and Techron (buy 1 get 1 free). Couple of other useful coupons in there too. Not a bad investment for a $1. I bought 10 of them. One oil change and I'm already ahead...

SeaFoam and Techron. SeaFoam is a fantastic fuel stabilizer as well. It's great to have in your car during the winter months when you're not driving your car, if at all up here in the north. Unlike Stabil, it doesn't dry out your seals and gaskets. I use it in everything with an internal combustion engine.
