Would you show your stock 2002 RED ZO6? I know a lot of shows have cars that are all BLINGED out and MODDED out...what about a stock car? We have a show here locally in Utah coming up and would like to just take it there and see what happens...YOUR THOUGHTS?
Go ahead and bring it. I show my '74 that is stock and take more pride knowing that. Doesn't matter if you win or lose, it is just fun checking out all the cars. I learned in my first year of shows that I really have no chance against these trailer queens or the folks with deep pockets. Just have fun!
Usually there are different classes of stock, modded and street at those shows. If you have a mostly stock Z06, you should definitely enter it since you have a better chance of winning in a competition with other stock cars than a grudge match between who has the most bling. It'll all depend on how clean and well maintained your vette is. Its all in good fun anyway so you have nothing to lose.

Stock cars have their own class here in CA car shows. So if you will be with all the other stock 1997-2004's. But be aware - stock means stock! Over here they deduct points if you have stuff on the car that did not come from the factory, for example the chrome exhaust plate.

Clean her up real good and then go for it. How well you do will depend on the show - some have categories for stock cars, others just lump all the Vettes into one category and you compete against anything and everything. Even if you don't come home with a trophy, you get a chance to learn what judges look for and also meet a lot of nice people. So, go have fun and let us know how it turns out.

I remember going to car shows as a kid, its fun to see any car whether it is stock or not, and the more colors the better, so maybe you will have the only red one there. Someone will appreciate it and you will have fun.
Thanks guys...I just thought it would be fun to do as well, even if it was stock. I will have to check and see if they have any stock classes. Maybe even meet more people too...find some UTAH folks who DRINK BEER....that might be tough
If it's a corvette only show...stock cars do very well. Mom's 96 vert has brought lots of trophies to include a 7 footer. Stock as the day she rolled off the assembly line.
I would not hesitate for a second to show that car. A Torch Red Z, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful vettes out there. The C5 in my avatar is a coupe, in case you thought I was biased in the preceding remarks. Now go out now and start detailing!
I would like to attend, and it would be great to see your car there as well.
It is at Hill AFB, and some time in August, but I won't be here for it. I heard there might be another one in this area after that one. But you should check it out at Hill in August...If I get the dates, I will pass them out here...
