I thought about that issue also, then I thought screw'em, it is my car. I like the way they look. I don't really like the Z06 wheels was another reason I went with them, plus I wanted something a little bit different. Everyone puts Z06 wheels on. I still have my stock wheels.........may have them chromed!

Even though I love the look of the C6 wheels, IMO (and its just my opinion, doesn't mean its wrong and I don't want to offend anyone who's done this mod) I think C5's should stick with aftermarket wheels or OEM repos. Its sort of like seeing a C5 with C4 wheels, they just look out of place even though the wheels themselves look good. With so many beautiful aftermarket wheels out there, there's certainly no shortage of choices.
Mostly However, I do think the C6 wheels look good. Just my preference to stay within the same generation. Bottom line, do what YOU want.

, I have never liked cross generation part swaping. Back on the C4 Forum guys had C5 wagon wheels, etc. Just never looked right to me.
I've got Z06 motorsport wheels on my coupe, there is a C4 with chrom Z06 wheels at the building next to where I work and there are 2 f-bodies on base that I know of with Z06 wheels. A lot of guys use C4 GS/ZR1 wheels at the track on their C5s.
They're just wheels, it doesn't matter where they came from as long as they are functional and you like the way they look. I would try to get a blank center so you didn't have the C6 logo, but other than that, go for it.

I've seen a lot of pics on the forum lately of C5s with the C6 wheels and they do look nice. Bottom line... if YOU like them, put 'em on and enjoy them and don't look back. As many say... it's your car.
I don't care much for the C6 wheels on the C5 they just don't look right to me. I do like the new C6 ZO6 wheels though (although I'd still have a hard time putting them on my C5). It's all personal taste. Go with your gut, you have to be happy with it no one else does.
I agree, to each it's own. I feel that you pay for your car and you're the one driving it so if you like the look ... go for it!
'They do look nice on that car'
However, I must make sure to say "do not install neon light anywhere on your car!
I'm surprised no one has said this. Its wrong to have wagon wheels on a Vette! C6 wheels look cool, but there are a lot of other cool wheels out there too. I had wagon wheels on my 98, and went with Chrome Z06 wheels. Much better. A little Zaino, and Chrome rims, and people think its an 04.
