Default Z06 Exhaust

I have a 01 Vert and want a little more HP and a little better sound. What do you all think about buying a stock Z06 exhaust? I would like to stay stock corvette one way or the other. Has anyone else done this?

Many here have done this including myself (although I've moved on already). Don't know about HP increase but the sound difference over stock is minimal, I understand they do flow a little better than stock. If you are looking to stay OE GM than the Ti's are for you. You can't beat the OE fit and finish of the Ti's, just don't expect them to sound substantially better than stock.

Lots of people do. Not sure about the HP gains, but you will save weight. You can install a Corsa exhaust and meet your requirements better. The Indy system usually scares little kids and old people, the touring is closer to the OEM system. BTW Corsa is a licensed GM product with it's own part#.

I felt the same way . . . . staying stock with Z06 Ti exhaust. New those run about $1200 . . you can get them used in the $400 to $450 range . . . but a PITA to ship. I went from stock to Z06 and the sound changed very little. Yes they weigh less . . . no big deal there . . .I changed to GHLs and boy they are what should have come on the car. They sound and look fantastic. So many folks tell me the car sounds great without me asking . . . the stainless steel GHLs really are outstanding. Price is $900 shipped from Arizona.

I would not change a thing from the GHLs the sounds and looks are top drawer

I switched to the Z06 Ti exhaust last fall on my otherwise stock '04 A4. The sound was a little louder at idle and normal driving (nice low pitch, really sounds good) but at WOT it is really a lot more noticeable than the stock exhaust. Nothing really loud but really clean and powerful sounding. So I personally would recommend the change.

BTW, I've been told by several people that the Ti exhaust might add up to 5 rwhp. I did it for the sound more than anything.

A little better sound, little if any HP gains. But, polished up, the Ti exhaust looks very good.

I went to the Z06 Ti's on our '03 vert and really like them. IMO, they have a somewhat deeper tone at idle and sound much better at WOT than the stock coupe/verts exhausts. Too, they are not any louder than the stock exhausts at cruise speeds and that is exactly what I wanted. As for HP increase, I doubt that there is much.
