would it be safe to...
install my enhancer plate using industrial strength velcro instead of the supplied double stick tape?
I figured it would make cleaning easier, but it i'm thinking that it might fly off @ one point or another.

I used the double sided tape 4 years ago, and it is still on real strong.
Once it is stuck on, it will always be clean under the plate.

Industrial strength all the way! Very secure and, if you don't install it correctly the first time, you can always start over again until perfection is achieved. Just my $0.02.

Yes, you could use velcro to install the plate. I chose to go with the supplied double sided tape since I didn't feel I would have to worry about cleaning under the plate once it was stuck on. If anyone wants to look under the plate for dirt, let them try and get that thing loose.
