Default Z06 Sway bars?

I was thinking about adding Z06 swaybars to my 04 coupe. Will this add a noticeable difference in cornering? Will the car ride rougher than without them? Is there a better alternative?

Also, I noticed that Fred Beans is selling the sway bar kit with and without endlinks. Which should I purchase for my car?

From what I've read I hear it's a great additon. I plan to do the samething myself in the near future. I ride is not rougher but the handling is noticeable tighter (from what I read so far).

You'll like them
They stiffen it up and it really isn't any rougher ride.
You already have metal end links....just buy the bars........simple install too
Good Luck

Based on what I have read from the forum and a couple of friends opinions, I ordered a set for my '04 from Fred Beans two days ago!!

I obtained the Z06 sways from Fred a few weeks ago.....they are on the car and the ride is nice. Not Harsh...seems to limit whatever bounce and slip there was.
As for the Endlinks....it depends on the year of your car. I think in 02 they switched to the Metal Endlinks.....if your car is older , then you have the rubber ones....

Call them up...they will advise you what to do.

I have all Z06 suspension and I can feel a big difference. Was hard and bumpy with the runflats but became quite smooth as soon as I switched to non-runflats. Just a bit firmer than stock... but much tighter.

I swapped out to Z06 bars w/ metal endlinks and Bilstien Sports a couple of months ago. This is singly the best mod I've made on my vert. I also went to 18's all around and 35 profile tires and a more agressive alignment at the same time. All together it changed the entire feel of the car - key word feel. Much more responsive in corners and stable at speed. Best money you can spend on a mod.

I got mine from Fred Beans and they are definitely a great addition. The stock ones allow to much roll in the corners.

As BWP 5P said, your car already has aluminium end links. And, if you have Z51 suspension, you already have the rear bar too. If not, the switch will not make the ride harsher but it will corner flatter. It's a good move but you'll probably get bitten by the mod bug and change the shocks and switch to non run flats like most of us did. Have fun. - C.

Sorry to Hijack, but am looking at this as well. I have an '03 with the Magnetic Selective Ride. Am I correct that the rear is already the Z06 Sway bar and I only need to replace the front bar?

Thanks for all the advice. Trying to avoid too many mods. My wife will kill me! This one looks like a good bang for the buck.

If you have the F55 msrc suspension you do not have the bigger rear sway bar,you do however have the aluminum end links if your car is 02 or newer, just order the bars and bushings from Fred Beans and you will be dialed.

The stock sway bars on the base suspension are a joke, I have seen bigger sway bars on much less sporty cars.

It will NOTICEABLY flatten out the cornering of your car, DO IT!!!

Can you tell I did?

The swaybars are nice and one mod that I will be adding to mine. Ride should not be compromised, but the handling will be improved.

Thank you all for the comments & feedback, as I too am in the process of getting my Z06 front-rear sway bars installed on my 2000 Coupe 6-speed (replacing my F45 sways). It's really good to hear others have the same concern as I had. BTW, got my sways from Fred Bean too.

Do the end links need to be replaced to add the Z06 sway bars to an F45 suspension? How easy is the swap on the front sways? I'm thinking of this mod on my 2001.

You will love them. Do the shocks at the same time.

I plan on doing the same with my F55 equipped Vette. Great price from Fred Beans on the sways! I wish that I could order them now but I'm moving in less than 2 weeks so I gotta wait.

Ordered the bars yesterday for my '04 convertible. Looks like it helps cornering while retaining stock ride. We shall see shortly. Did order from Fred Beans as it was a good price. Just need the bars and bushings as the '04 already has the metal end links.
