Default Series 1,11,111

Can anybody explain the differences in the Series 1,2,3 heads.I've read about cars having the diffrent heads installed on them,but I don't recall ever reading about the differences in the heads.Thanks in advance.---Rod

Do you mean stage I, II, III???

Stage I, basic port job, stock valve, general clean up, stock springs etc.

StageII, full porting and polish, new bigger valves, new springs, retainers, etc., milled for compr.

Stage III same as stage II, generally opened up comb. chamber for big bore engine.

These are generic examples, every head porter will have different options or stages and whats included in each.

Did'nt you just get stage II heads put on?
