Default The Wave Is Not Dead!

It was beautiful in Detroit today. The sun was shining, temperature was around 65 degrees. I decided to take the top off before I left work, to enjoy some of this beautiful weather, after being snowed in all winter. Vette stayed in the garage. Anyway, while driving home, I saw a C5 pewter vert, middle aged fellow around my age had the top down, windows up. He waved and of course I returned the wave. Five minutes later I saw a sharp yellow C5 from the side, that I'm sure had the Tiger Shark rear facia. I waved he waved. I really enjoyed that twenty- minute drive. The Wave Is Alive!!

Default The Wave Is Not Dead!

I really wish I could say the same thing about SE Florida. That is the first thing I noticed moving her from Indiana. Wave you get nuttin! Maybe it is the sheer amount of Vettes down here? I sometimes get a wave when I drive the 67, but nothing else. The midwest just has more hospitable folks than down here. No offense to anyone.

Hey,
What's the countdown until the Woodward Cruise?
Plenty of waves there, no matter what you drive.

It's alive here in Indy. Six for six today, C3's, C4, C5's and a C6. Here's one from Indy

Nice to hear that C6 drivers are returning the wave....It seems that a lot of the early buyers were 'above' the wave and 'community' with the other Vettes. There is hope after all!!!!!!!

Default Strangest Thing

On my way to LA I today in my '02 Silver Z06 (lowered on cut bushings) I got a thumbs up from a Volvo 70 convertible and then I got a very entusiastic thumbs up from a guy driving a 350Z.

On my way home, feeling good about the thumbs up and the beautiful weather, I see a yellow C6 - I wave and he just looks away. That makes me 0 for several dozen C6 waves. It must be a southern Cal thing.
