HVAC Blower Stopped Blowing (HELP)
Today I pushed the fan control buttons to find out the fan is not blowing. The vent system is working as I can hear the vents open and close but the blower isn't coming on.
The maxifuses all look good and I am getting no HVAC codes.
Where else should I look before I am forced to take a trip to the dealership?

It could be the blower motor control module that is located in the HVAC box near the blower. (The control module takes the place of the resistor card and high speed relay used on other systems.) Fairly easy to remove and re-install yourself. Not sure of the price.
There is also a blower motor relay, for control of all speeds, mounted on the multi use relay and fuse bracket, above the Body Control Module (BCM). Find an identical relay on the fuse panel or in one of the fuse blocks (I/P or underhood), and switch 'em and see if the blower motor now works. If so, it is a bad relay.
If not the relay, check the blower motor. To check the blower motor itself, you can jump 12 volts directly to the blower motor and see if it operates. The blower motor is actually pretty easy to replace too.
If the relay is ok, and the blower motor is ok, then most likely it is the module. BUT, it could be other things to such as a control head.
If you don't have a manual, and you need further help, write me at whitec5vette@aol.com. I'll be glad to email you some further diagnostic procedures.
(Or, I am going to be selling a set of '99 manuals in a day or two.
Have not listed them yet. But I'm more than willing to help you with any procedures needed via email.)
