Default 00' Dash Cluster Woes

Bought my 00' A4 coupe used with 47K. Drives great but I finally realized that my MPH/KMH, Traction Control Sys, ABS, & Air Bag indicators do not light up. I've removed the cluster several times attempting to replace blown bulbs with no success. I first became frustrated because neither the local parts stores nor the General recognize the numbers, stock or sell replacements. After switching them around and having someone actually repair one of the 'V-2' assemblies, I still haven't gotten any of the mentioned indicators to light up. Price estimate for a replacement cluster is $600 neighborhood. Don't want to lay out the loot just to find out there's another cause. Want to make turning my keys over to the General my last resort. Anybody had similar problems?

No idea what your problem could be, but contact cf member "pacethis" if you need a cluster. He has clusters available for much less than that and is excellent to deal with.

Yeah for about $200 or less, I would get a used cluster.

good luck
