Has anyone else had their Corvette attacked by a Coyote?? This is my second time. Attacked you say?? Yes ATTACKED!! The first time he scrached my right side fender so badly that it looked like a cheese grater was used on it. Apart from scraches all over the hood, he also tore off the front right side spoiler.
Last night he attacked again. This time I found his last two paw marks on my roof, where he left three scraches for each foot. This time he BIT my left fender in numerous places and tore off the corner of the brand new spoiler I had put on.
Yes we live in the country part of San Diego County and no I don;t have a garage. The car was covered with a nice car cover, which he left in pieces.
I can only think that he was trying to get my cat or another animal which went under the car, which is so low that he could not fit. Then he just got pissed off!!!
Maybe he bought a Porsche Boxter and is pissed.
Seriously either you have small animals hiding under your Z06 like you said OR a bitch (female dog) sprayed your car cover. Cats also LOVE to spray rims and wheels. The real problem is you have a rogue coyot running in you neighborhood either horny as hell, hungery as hell, or both. Real dangrous for kids.
There is the PETA view on this and my view.
But I would at lest report it to your local Animal Control. Not as a coyot attacking your car, but as a rogue animal mauling property and being a local hazard. Good luck.
Sorry to see that he scratched your car and tore your cover. If you have kids I would shoot that thing. I know its not nice to shoot animals but kids are more impotant.
A pack of them just killed an 80 pound dog around here.
Something like that happening to my Z would be enough to keep me up waiting on his A$$ with a large caliber firearm. That is not normal behavior for a coyote or any other animal for that matter. That animal needs to be destroyed and in a hurry.

This is indeed a tragic story...not only is the poor man's Corvette being savaged by a wild animal, but now we learn that his children are impotant as well. My thoughts are with you my friend. Don't give up hope...modern medicine is finding breakthroughs for these kinds of conditions every day.

But my ZO6 is bright Torch Red, with Limo Tint, and two-tone Black/Red everywhere.
I went into a store the other night, and when I came out, there were (NO $HIT) over a 1000 Lady Bugs all over my car. Guess they thought my Z was a Giant Lady Bug.

LOL...owned
Ah well, I get attacked by little catipillers all the time now
Has anyone else had their Corvette attacked by a Coyote?? . . . Anyone else experienced anything similar?
I live in north central rural Arizona. No attacks on MY Corvette, because it's locked inside when not moving.
But the critters are hell bent to lick the brake dust off my pickup truck and CJ7 Jeep front wheels.
They aren't certified for the Vette, yet. Maybe I'll set up a "training seminar" for them.
I could save a lot of time and effort, esp. if I can teach them to lick the bugs off the front end too.
This is a real serious problem.it sounds as if this coyote may be very sick(no pun)and needs to be destoyed before he attacks a young child and does some damage.Definitely keep an eye out for this animal and don't let any real small children play outside alone.Contact Animal Control, they have a wildlife officer that will make real quick work of the problem.
