[Z06] Turning off 1 to 4 shift?

Turning off 1 to 4 shift?
The 1 to 4 shift function is totally rediculous! It's seems like they designed the Z06 for old ladies regarding that...
Is there any way to turn it off?

3 suggestions:
1. Shift at a higher RPM.
2. Buy a connector and use a 2.0 Ohm resistor to interconnect the plug at the transmission.
3. Use a tuning program to shut it off.

I'd rather that then pay an additional $1300 (about the price of a good cat-back and intake I might add) gas guzzler tax.

Maybe I just haven't driven the car enough, but I've never had to do the 1-4 shift.
Of course I've only put 50 miles or so on the car so that might just be it

I just installed it last night on the Z. About $20 and 20 minutes for me, instead of 15 minutes. I'm getting old
Having the tranny in the rear is kinda cool. Just backed it up onto ramps, slid under, and slip on connectors and tie-wrap. Done.
First time I've seen the underneath of one up close. Looks very different in many ways than my C4. Maybe that's where the extra time went...
