Default HRE owners come in!

I know you like to show your wheels off. Please post pics and indicate what style and how much you paid for the wheels or the wheels and tires. My nittos are wearing out and im thinking ... just thinking

IF you have any advice... let it all out

HRE 543 18x9.5F 18x11R, tires 265x35x18F 295X35x18R BFG G-force KD and new sensors. The sales slip was $6486 shipped but I did not pay that amount for them. I got a smoking deal, the previous owner passed away before he recieved them . I was going to have a set of CCW SP500 (rims/tires) dropped shipped to ECS when Chris said to hold off, he might have something come in. I don't want to list what I paided for them out of respect for the person that sold them to me but the transaction included the trade of my old rims. Let's just say it was well within the range that no one here would walk away from it and quite a bit less than what the CCW's would have cost.

Here's my HRE 547's. It's been 2 years since I bought them, think I paid in the neighborhood of $3600. Things were good when money grew on trees.

547's - were on the car when I got it. I like the looks, but they are a PITA to keep clean.

HRE 547s/high polish finish (18X9.5/19X11) with Pirelli Zero Rossos, including mounting, balancing and sensors=$6K They are expensive, but they are beautiful. I took my car out of storage over the weekend and polished them using Simi Chrome polish and they truly looked like jewelry. Good luck with your choices.

I don't have pics just yet, but you can go to the HRE website for viewing.

$6k is about right. I think mine ran me about $1500 per wheel depending on what size you want and what other options you choose.

I am unable to post a picture for unknown reasons. Below is a link to view some pictures of my HRE 547's. I bought them 2 years ago and I believe I paid $3600. With shipping, sensors and lug nuts, my bill was just under $4k.

Those pictures are impressive.

Does anyone have a picture of black HRE wheels? I havent seen many, most of these are either polished or chrome?

Dale: What finish are your wheels?

2K1vette: I love those wheels and i know they are a very popular HRE design but is it really hard to clean the rivets? At one point in time i liked rivets when i had my chrome motorsport Z06 wheels but couldnt clean them ever.

Here is a picture of forum member "ALLKAR" and his white Z06. His car is bad *** but unfortunately this is a small sig pic of his. Maybe he will chime in eventually with some better pics. I think his are the 540's.

Thanks. Honestly, yes, they are a pain in the *** to clean but I wouldnt have it any other way. I wasnt willing to get a different wheel that I like less just because its easier to clean. Thats just the price I have to pay and I'll just "grin and bear it". In the long run I think its worth it.

AllThrottle: Thank you very much for the weights.

Another question. I know HREs are one of the most popular wheels but how do they compre to IForged in quality? Iforged are cheaper but offer very similar designs and most members have good feedback about them. Will i be missing out anything if i go with iforged instead of HREs in your opinion?
