Bose CD changer upgrade

Im not sure of the exact answer to your question, but here is another option. If you get an I-pod, it comes with a feature that can play the mp-3's right through your radio. I think you could just throw the I-Pod in your center keep and that way you get all your music playing right through the cars already existing stereo.
I havent done this, I just have a buddy that does it with his Mini-Cooper. So I hope it works for you too.
Hope that was a slight help.

Cheers!~~~Patrick
Even if you got all the wiring converted over properly, the new non-delco CD changer would not understand commands from the factory head unit. There are devices called "protocol converters" and can conveert one language to another... but choices are limited.
I and a few others have went with a hard-drive based jukebox -type- CD changer. You can add an AUX line-level input to your factory head unit to allow the audio to play through the factory system - but going this route loses the ability to control the jukebox from the head unit. All the control the factory head unit will give in this setup is VOLUME.
So a remote mounted head is required to control the track, skip, etc functions of the juke-box.
I have pics of my installation somewhere on this web page:
