Why do the sun visors rattle...

Both mine rattled, both mirror assemblies were loose from the visor itself, most of the little plastic sticks (for lack of a better word) were broken off so I used super glue and held them in place till dry. . .no more rattle. BE VERY CAREFUL doing it this way, super glue on corvette seats or body is not good, I got lucky and didn't drop any.
