I saw this yesterday and it is ideal for C5's that are lowered or ones that are lowered and run on 17" wheels for the track (like mine). Its also 29" long so it could get to at front cross member fairly easily. Only problem is it is one HEAVY ****!
Anyone know of an aluminum one with the same profile?

I have a Craftsman aluminum jack but it is not that low of a profile (I believe it is about 3 1/2 inches minimum height). Wonder just how good the NAPA jack is?

It was one heavy sturdy SOB when I checked it out. I would say that it ways about 60-70 lbs. I went online and they dont even have a pic. The store I visited said he had a whole pallet of them and the mechanic who does work on my car has one. Thats where I first saw it..
It really is nice. When I was at NAPA, I measured from the lifting pad all the way until it starts to incline and its 13". IN other words, the 2.5" height has a length of 13"! I've never seen anyhthing like that for that kinda price. I just wish they made it in aluminum
I have the Craftsman aluminum jack....actually I have three jacks. The Craftsman, a Snap On and a aluminum knock off from Harbor Freight. The Snap On is too tall to get under most places on my vette. The knock off collapsed on me one day after I had it for about 3 months...it does not get much use. The Craftsman is bad to the bone. Very light, easy to remove handle, only a few pumps to get the car up, and it fits under my rockers. My car is on a 19/20 combo along with coil overs....it is low. I have to say the Craftsman is the best bang for the buck out there. I believe I paid 150.00 ish for mine.

Collapsed?
Anyone know if Harbor Freight sells a low-profile jack (hopefully aluminum) that has dimensions/specs like the NAPA one in this thread?

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=47246 This is the one I have had for about 2 years. Used about a dozen times. So far, so good., Currently On Sale for $119.99 til 4/25/05. If interested, I have an additional $10 off coupon (expires: 4/27/05) you could use toward this jack. ($109.99) I could email it to you.

I have also had the one above for a couple years. The 2.5" Low profile NAPA and its 29" length, which allows easy access to front cross member, puts it to shame. Unfortunately they dont have pics on their website. You'll have to go to a NAPA store and see what I mean
