I have a set of House of Wheels Z06 Chromies on the way, this will be the first set on the car since it got the garage only treatment, what can I do to keep them as clean and shiny as possible. Some people have told me to use car wax on the whole wheel before it goes on the car? Ideas thank you!
I just bought a set of GM Z06 Chromies for Bob too. I did the entire wheels with Teflon Sealant. It lasts much longer than a wax based product! In fact I use it on the entire car.
In the 2 months I have had my new wheels, they have been back off the car twice to be cleaned and waxed, plus the coat that went on when I first installed them.
IMHO, the best protection for those wheels are ceramic brake pads! Unless you track the car, it's great! Before I switched, i'd have to clean the wheels every trip out, now I just do a quick clean once a week and they look new!
Mothers mag&aluminum polish Notice the reflection in the driveway. Believe it or not add a little cooking flour and it comes up even better. Better rims and garden

Damn BT those are shiny! Thanks for all the good input guys, I think the idea about the pads is good too. When I got my vette I had to use a dremel on the wagon wheels to get the black out.
I've used the Mother's Mag and Chrome Polish, but have also heard of something that is carried at Harley dealerships that puts Mother's to shame, so figure on trying that next. There is a post somewhere on the forum about it, so just do a search for wheel polish or something like that.

I believe it's called simi chrome, I haven't tried it yet
I used ProjecX. Makes them easy to clean.[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
I'm looking at your Motorsports and figured out why they look so shinny compared to mine. You have chrome rivet/screws.....I have brass/gold colored. Where these special builds or did you replace them??
Looks great!!
Never mind (its the end of the week and I must be losing it).....mine are the same as yours.
You must have a better camera.......
