"Alternator" was first used by Chrysler Corp who trademarked the name. Over the years it's become a commonly used generic term by a lot of people. GM and Ford either can't or won't use the word.
I bought a bracket (#1257806) and alternator (#10436674) from someone supposedly parting out a 2002 c5, but these part numbers dont match what should be on a 2002 c5. If these were off a z06 would the numbers be different? Thannks
