Default Corsa Tips

I want to purchase the Corsa Pace Car System with a X pipe for my 03 but have the following questions.

-- Does the type of tips (Pro Series, GTR, etc) have any effect on the sound or are they only for appearance?

-- Currently I have a 50 AE plate on the back end, will I have to remove it when I have the new system installed?

-- I'm a real rookie when it comes to mods so please bear with me -- I have a ton of questions.

By the way, based on responses to a previous thread of mine, I purchased the SS Letters and they look great. This site is more than I could hope for and just wanted to say thanks for all the sound advice from you folks.

No performance effects from the tips, just appearance. I suggest Pro series or Tiger Shark tips. Is the plate on the exhaust system or underneath the car?? If it's underneath the car, you do not have to remove the exhaust plate but you will probally not be able to see it with the GTR or Tiger Shark tips.

It is called an Exhaust Enhancement Plate and is mounted between the stock exhaust tips. Thanks you the response.

The Pro series or Tiger Shark tips are the same, the Pro series positions them in the stock position and the Tiger Shark spaces them out equally so you would cover up most of the Exhaust Enhancement Plate, but you don't have to remove it for the install. The other tips may change the sound, I think you would need to do a side by side comparison to tell any difference if any.
The difference in the sound comes from the muffler, Pace Car Edition Vs Touring Edition.

If you have an Enhancement Plate that mounts on the stock exhaust, it may not fit on some aftermarket exhausts such as the Corsa.
