For the record..I have used Zaino and you guys can keep it. I will stick with NXT any day. I would rather wax my car for a hour and drive it for seven then spend eight waxing it.
Not wanting to start the debate again, but I just don't get this statement. I put a coat of Zaino on this weekend, Z2 Pro followed by Z6, took less than an hour. If you're referring to the initial application, shouldn't you start with the claybar, etc. no matter what product you're using?
Well I guess I should list oil changes as a mod also. Since waxing my car is just proper upkeep and so is an oil change.
Takes longer than most mods.....that is awesome..lol

Maybe it takes a little longer the first time with Zaino, but once you have the first coat done, I can wash and Zaino my car in 1 1/2 hours.

I was referring to the first application. Between applying the applications and the wait time for drying it takes a full day which I don't see as bad for a full driving season worth of coverage.
Funny...the question is how does someone consider waxing their car a modification, not why Zaino is good or bad. I should have not used Zaino in the name but it is the only wax I have ever seen listed.
I feel I have to explain something. I am a car guy not a Corvette guy. Yes I have a Corvette and really enjoy my car. But I love cars...all kinds of cars and preferably modified ones. I have been into modifing cars for 16 years. I have traveled the country to attend car shows and to compete in them. Never have I ever met someone that claimed waxing their car was a modification until this forum. That is why I ask for a simple intelligent answer to the question. I have not seen one of those yet. I have seen some very amusing and witty answers, though very entertaining not what I was looking for. So can anyone answer? But please do not stop the witty answers...very funny stuff.
Last thing...I believe in to each his own. If someone is happy with the way Zaino works for them excellent. I tired it and did not think it was worth the extra time and effort over other products. Though it did work vey well and produced an excellent shine.
I've been thinking about ordering Zaino but trying to figure out what I need to order is giving me a headache. The application directions on the Zaino website are overwhelming.

I got in on a GP of the stuff. I've never used it before, and like you felt overwhelmed. I was assisted with selections.
1) Clay Bar
2) ZFX <add to the Z2 polish to expedite dry time>
3) Z2 Polish
4) Z6 Gloss enhancer
5) Z7 Car Wash
6) Applicator Pad
I'm very happy with it, however, have nothing to compare it to.

I just ordered Zaino and I'm not an expert, but, this is what I figured out from their web page. For an older car wash and clay bar. That'll get the junk off the paint and smooth the paint for maximum depth. Next use Z2. If you wat to put more than one coat you can add the accelerator, ZFX. For max gloss you can put the gloss spray on. Z-1 is a cleaner. I wouldn't think you'd need the cleaner if you clay bar. Show us pics when you are done.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll probably put in an order soon because I've been wanting to try the stuff for a while now. Just never got modivated to do so until now. The warmer weather helps.
