Default [Red Interior] Mod Vs Torch

What year C5s came with which red?

Which one is brighter?

I'm wanting to change the door panels and under dash panels in my '04.

"Mod Red" only refers to the combination of Black and Torch Red, and was only available in the Z06's. The reds are the same color.

My understanding is that "MOD RED" means Modified Black. Mod red is only seen in the Z06's where the red is inserted to the black seats creating "MOD RED" or Modified Red. If im not mistaken, the carpet is still black.

I have Torch Red in my coupe and everything is red, but the upper dash, upper doors, and center console.

Did not know that. Thanks

I'm assuming the sport seats were never available in black with red inserts. I guess I'll only change the door panels and under dash panels. I might customize my sport seats later.

The reds are the same on the torch and mod interiors. Love the look.

You're right. BUT - if you can get some TR back inserts (not hard to do) they swap in very easily. Then you can do something like I did to the bottoms - took two sets of seat bottoms, removed the stitching, then sewed them back up the way I wanted it to look. Mine was a "Mod Firethorn Red" for lack of a better description, but it was easy. A little time-consuming, but worth it.

Cool, nice work! I didn't realize the backs had removable inserts. Good information!

If I can find a perfect set of Torch Red sport seats, I can make two sets of custom seats.
