Default Seat Bladder part numbers

Hi Guys,

I believe I have the part number for the center bladders but I haven't found the part number for the side bladders in the seats, does anyone have that number please? And the center bladder number too if you have it handy, I have it in email somewhere but it will take a long time to find it.

If anyone has these I need them too. It would be a huge help.
Does anyone know how hard of a replace it would be? or how long?
My Vette is a '99 Coupe And I'm looking for driver's side
thanks

The bladder assembly changed to all one in the latter half of 1998. It is now a one piece unit.

The drivers side bladder part number is 10273430

I need the number for the driver's and passenger center bladders and the driver and passenger side bladders. It is for a 99.

Thanks in advance.

They are easy to replace, vette essentials has a tutorial on how to unzip the seat, you just bascially unzip it, I'm sorry, I don't have the link to the website, but I'm sure someone can give it to you, then once you open the seat, you just take out the bladders and replace them. Hardest part of it is unzipping the seat and zipping it back up.

So does anyone have the side bladder numbers? I would like to order these ASAP but for the past year, no one has had the side numbers and GMparts direct doesn't seem to make it very easy to find.

Thanks

Rob,

As far as I can tell on the parts diagram the Center and side bolsters are all in one now. The part number that I listed in the post above was the only number for 99 and up. See the attachements below.

Do you even have to unzip anything?? I can pop the clamp on the bottom-back of the seat, and the front cushion will disconnect and flip up.

If it helps, here is the design for the 97 and early 98's with the two bladder system.

If this new systemis all in one, that would be great, but how do I connect this new system to my old system car? The new system has one plug and my system has two plugs.

Is there even an aftermarket company that makes these, I'm assuming it is strictly GM. Do the GM service manuals talk about how to connect the new style bladders to the older models?

I doubt that there is an aftermarket producer for this part. If you have the older style system, you would need the older style bladder. It sounds as though someone may have swapped seats in your car at one time. You should be able to still purchase the two bladder system from a GM dealer. PM GMpartsbob from Fichtner Chevy or Gene at Fred Beans Pontiac GMC and get their pricing before you head for the local dealer.

I could ask them if they have the parts, but really what good would it do, thepart number is the same for the new one and the old one, even if they did have the old parts, they will soon run out, and there would be no way to repair the 97-98 and apparently 99 cars. Since I have heard that car manufacturers support the cars for 10 years, there must be a way to get the new system to work with the old system.

I"m going to make the assumption here that on the new bladders I can just cut the air hoses from the connector and attach them to the connector in the proper places on my car. Can someone confirm?

Thanks

There are two bladders in the center of the seat, upper and lower, and one on each side.

can someone tell me what is the difference between 10273430 and 12455492 ? It would seem that 12455492 is the part I need but someone had mentioned the first part number in this thread. I'm about to order it so I want to make sure.

THanks

Rob
