After some thought I have decided not to move to a Z06, I just enjoy the Vert. too much. With that thought I have decided to move along with some mods. On Tuesday I will drop it off at MTI for a set of Kooks headers, high flow cats, a Yank T/C and an update run on the Dyno. I am thinking I may pick up around 25 horses.

I was thinking about doing a head and cam package at the same time, but the 20th Wedding anniversary is coming up in June, so that means an expensive stop at the jewelry store. I will need to wait until fall for the H/C package

If GM made a Z06 vert, I have one. As it is, my vert has Z06 bars and springs, Bilsteins, Dynatechs, Vortex and 18" Z06 chromies all around. I'm not trying to turn my vert into a Z06 but I do want at least Z06 performance. This summer H/C and tunnel plate go on. Just want to get to about 425 RWHP - with the top down.

I hear ya. I have the same HP goals as you. The H/C should get you there.

That would work.

MTI is local for me and they will do a great job. I can get the LT's, TQ and dyno tune in one day, and the head and cam in two.

While Lingenfelter has a fantastic rep. I would not look forward to shipping my car and waiting a few weeks. MTI has a good rep and I am sure I will be more than satisfied. Thanks for the idea though.

Good choice in mods. You should be able to get the power increase you mention. Good luck with the installs.

I decided to also go for a cam while it is in there. I will just have to cut back a bit on the jewerly for the anniversary. Since I enjoy taking it to work a couple of days a week (Houston traffic) I am going with the MTI C2 cam. The heads will follow in the fall.

I will end up with Kooks LT's, Kooks X-pipe with high flow cats, a Yank TC, a cam and a dyno tune update. I will drop it off on Tuesday and will be there Wednesday afternoon for the tune.

Life is good!!!!
