Car locking and unlocking by itself. What could be wrong?
Every time i use the fob or manually lock the doors when iget out it locks itself or if i lock it ,it unlocks without touching anything. What could be wrong? Thanks.
Depending upon what year Corvette you have, pre 2000 models have a "passive" lock and unlock feature controlled by a slide switch at the bottom of the remote keypad. If this is set to on, the car will unlock when the fob gets within range and or lock when fobs leaves the range.

Year 2000 cars don't have the passive fobs?????? I just a used '00 Vert and it came with passive FOBS...that don't work by the way. Maybe this is why?
No, they did away with the passive feature after the '99 year. My '00 does not have it. Could be they have the wrong fobs.
You are correct JD. I just cross checked the part # of the fob that came with the car against the part # for a '00 - wrong fob. Looks like the guy owes me two fobs.
I knew nothing about this option at first.
I parked my car at the side of the house and had the keys in my pocket while I was in side.
I couldn’t understand why the car kept beeping the horn.
The answer was every time I came close to the car while still inside the house the fob would unlock the door, and relock with a toot because the door was not opened.
