I've got this ratting that occurs on the passenger window that's driving me crazy. The top of the window, when fully rolled up, hits against the plastic piece that's connected to the targa top and rattles back and forth, making a knocking noise. Happens at all speeds, and only from the passenger side. Pushing out on the window stops it, but as soon as you let go, it starts up again. Also, the door makes a noise when it closes and taps the holder when the door is almost closed. Anyone know how to fix this?
there are 2 places to adjust....most times it is the easy one that is the problem.
On the inside of the door pop off the reflector.... look inside you will see s tud that should have a nut on it. Chances are the nut worked it self off.
The studs are just plastic and the nuts are the cheap stamped metal.
Cant remeber the size but thay have them at Advanced /pep boys/ Walmart many places for about $2 for a pack of 10
Nope, not under warranty - plus i don't trust the dealers around here. I'll take a look at the bolt behind the reflector, i hope that's it. If it's not, what's the other more "difficult" fix? Thanks for the help
The other one is in the front section of the window....you have to take the door panel off. Not hard but after you take it off you have to have small hands to get in the door and tighten the track or replace the bolt that fell of the front
