Cost for alignment
Just had a 4-wheel alignment done at a dealer here in Northern VA--cost was $180. Isn't that kinda high? Just wondering what others are paying.

I just had one done at Don Darr Chevrolet in St. Louis, Mo. it was $119. Elco Chevrolet was $99.00, but they could never get me in. Both prices were for a 4 wheel alignment. So yes, I would say $180 was a little high.

You've got to be kidding!
The goodyear by me in NJ does it for $59.
I just had mine done at an independent shop with the latest hunter equipment for $65
$180 is way, way too high.
Heck, my local rip off GM dealer charges $119!
Don't worry, I got riped off when I bought my car! I'd pay $180 any day over what over paid regarding my 2002 coupe! :o

Did you ask them how much before they did it?
Shouldn't be much different from any other car right?

I'd say that was way high. Around here, they run less than $75.

Got mine done at a local tire store (recommended by the Corvette shop here) for about $92. My son's Boxster was about $150 at the same place.

Way too high. I paid $60 for a four-wheel alignment here in Indy at Auto Tire two weeks ago. My stealership sends all Vettes there for wheel/tire work since they have the correct equipment to take care of them.

NTB/Merchants/Tire King is $90
http://www.ntb.com/alignment.do
and don't forget to check out the printable online $20 alignment coupon.
. . . my local Merchants took the tires off my 98 and put them on my new Z06 chrome rims from HouseOfWheels last weekend. They did a great job!!

Firestone will give you alignments for life for less than that.
And they will set it to the numbers you ask for, not just factory specs.

$60.00 about 10 days ago at a local independent tire store. I don't go to the Goodyear store in town anymore. Lousy service.
