Default Check engine light

I tried this on the Tech forum and got no response. Maybe somebody can help me here. Question is: Can anuone tell me how to turn off the Check Engine light? I know why it's on and there's no problem, just need to know the sequence to turn it off.

Thanks for your help.

Press and hold the options button while pressing the fuel button four times. Then press either the gas or trip buttons and this will put the computer in manual mode. While displaying the PCM codes (these will come up first) press and hold the reset button for several seconds. This should clear the light.

You should record the codes that display first by just not pressing the gas or trip buttons. The codes will scroll automatically. You'll want to know if this is something serious that is causing the light.

Random check engine light and codes are common in the high tech C5. Book mark this excellent tool to trouble shoot codes your self. I printed out the paragraph on how to access/read/clear codes and keep it in my car. I can't tell you how many I used it to either clear a code on my car or on someone else’s car.

are you sure it was repaired. I had a check engine light for the same thing a few weeks ago and when it was fixed, the check engine light went off on its on by the time I could pull out of the driveway.
