Anyone know if they are illegal in some/all states?

I am not sure about every state, but headlamps must be white in NJ. The statute is 39:3-50.

Two vehicles headed west on I-10 last night with yellow headlights. Thought they were outlawed.

Humm, I don't see anything in the DOT laws, about yellow in color. Blue are the only color not to be used in a passanger car. Hummm, may be different from state to state.

I do believe this stuff is governed by the Feds. It's a no-no in the USA.
