Just put on my SS inserts. That's what I hope I don't end up with. Those little "E" inserts in the middle are awfully small and don't seem to have a whole lot to grab on to.

Best Of Luck. If that doesn't work I believe i'd have to resort to super glueing.

what type of alcohol did you use......(no I'm not asking whether it was scotch or gin ) but I understand there are different types to use. Is "rubbing" alcohol okay?

i had to resort to the glue too..i prepped to perfection and after a while of washing and hose squirting some parts became loose..

note: the super glue f#$% up the paint so be aware you will always have to run the inserts to avoid repainting..

They were from West Coast Corvettes, but I got them on eBay. $45.00 I think WC wants $65.

Probably no tweezers. I think that would make it even harder.

You really should use "denatured" alcohol. There are many types of alcohols. The alcohol we drink (booze) is ETHANOL. The alcohol present in rubbing alcohol is ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and contains as much as 30% water. You may already know that many products use alcohols. Examples are windshield washer fluid, de-icers, anti-freeze, glass cleaners, etc.. Most of these (if not all...I'm not sure) use denatured alcohols.

A denatured alcohol is a mixture of ethanol with a denaturent (there are over 80 legal denaturents available and methanol is one of them) This makes the ethanol undrinkable and ready for commercial use. A good example of a denatured alcohol is the new ethanol gasolines. This is a mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

So...rubbing alcohol is ISOPROPYL alcohol and a denatured alcohol is an ethanol-denaturent blend. (I am not sure if any type of alcohol blended with a denaturent is called a denatured alcohol)

I had the cheap vinyl ones on my car and had a Corvettc for a while. Cut another piece of vinyl to fill it in and eventually got a different set on there.

Mine have been on for over a year and lots of washing and waxing. Just be careful when using your duster or cloths that can catch on the sharp point of the 'R'. Zuti

You should be ok if you did the proper cleaning first. Mine have been on over a year with no problems.

They aren't that difficult to place with steady fingers
